AMERICAN LEGION POST 242
SONS OF AMERICAN LEGION 2023-2024 OFFICERS

Sons of American Legion Board.png

We, the Officers and members of SAL Squadron 242 are proud to be members and supporters of our Post.  Many of us are members of ten years or more. We have several dual members, Military Veterans who also choose to be “Sons” members as well to honor their father or grandfathers. We have some active members as young as 15.

We have many ambitious projects this year to repair and improve the Post, and with the help of our fellow American Legion and Ladies Auxiliary members, Hope to recruit new, Gulf War Vets and relocating members from other conflicts.

As the “Sons” we tend to be the younger members and frequently take the lead or provide “the Muscle” in post projects. We recently added a covered smoking gazebo for our newly non-smoking Post.

We hold Quarterly events, open to the General Public, to encourage community participation and to foster communication and cooperation with our neighbors, be they civilian or military.

We encourage you to stop by, visit, and decide for yourself if we are the group for you. We welcome visitors at any time. If you have military ancestors, male or female, you may be eligible to join.
